Corporate clients

Increasing business uncertainty and organisational complexity are driving the need for more transparent strategic planning and stakeholder communication. CFOs and strategic planners are turning increasingly to strategy simulation as the only alternative for complex value planning, integrating management thinking and effective communication
Valculus provides a full range of simulation products and services to its client base who are typically large blue chip corporations. Our offer is specifically tailored towards solving strategic issues facing companies operating in long life cycle industries.
The central platform of the product and service offer is the ValueSim module bank.
Relationship management
Our introduction to a client is often by way of training and awareness. Valculus uses a suite of executive programmes to meet this need.
Where specific strategic issues are the prime focus, we build bespoke ValueSims using a standard consulting process. Once issues have been formally agreed, Valculus can utilise its ValueSim module bank and engage the client team in the simulation process. The process follows four broad stages:
|
Mobilisation & training |
Mobilisation of client team, training and familiarisation |
|
Initial simulation |
Development of a ‘first pass’ simulation from the ValueSim module bank |
|
Simulation validation |
Testing, refining the initial simulation prior to validation & sign off |
|
Issue resolution |
Resolving issues with the client team and formulating conclusions & recommendations |
On completion of a bespoke simulation assignment, ongoing client involvement takes two general routes:
- Implementation of ongoing reporting and control
- Transfer and/or rollout to other parts of the organisation
Future development
The use of bespoke ValueSims can often be extended - and can go as far as a client organisation requires. Indeed initial simulations often ask as many questions as they answer. Bespoke ValueSims are now becoming engrained in the whole underlying process of strategic and financial management.
